Ed Staten is a lifelong resident of Whitfield County, Georgia. Having more than 40 years public accounting experience, plus twenty years of governmental audit experience, Ed Staten is at the top of his profession.
While attending college Ed began his accounting career as a staff accountant with Hathcock, Finney, Goodson & Austin C.P.A. firm. He later went with the firm of Hendry, Staten & Bailey, P.C.
In 1981, Ed established his own firm as Ed Staten C.P.A., P.C. Ed’s audit experience has included large carpet mills, public school system component unit, U.S. corporations, and foreign owned companies.
Ed is a graduate of Northwest Whitfield High School. Ed continued his education and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. Ed is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Ed resides in Dalton with his wife Judy Robertson Staten. Ed and Judy have two children, Robby Staten and Kristy Souther, both whom are employed by Staten CPAs. Ed and Judy have five wonderful grandchildren; Carter, Elly, McKinley, Riley, and Cole. Ed and Judy Staten attend Dawnville United Methodist Church.

Robby Staten has been working with his father Ed at Staten CPAs since 1999. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 2001.
Robby is a graduate of Dalton High School and attended Young Harris College for two years. He then went on to Auburn University where he received his bachelor’s degree, as well as his master’s degree in accounting. Robby is also a 2006 graduate of the Leadership Dalton/ Whitfield Program, and served on the Whitfield County Board of Commissioners as the Former Boarder from 2010 to 2014.
Along with being a Certified Public Accountant, Robby specializes in: audits; compilations; reviews; PC hardware installation and repair; and internal controls.
Robby Staten is a lifelong resident of Dalton, Georgia. He and his wife, Deidre Staten, have three awesome children: Carter, McKinley, and Cole. The Robby Staten family are members of the Grove Level Baptist Church.
